Virtual Gala Night 2021

ISP’s premier social event of the year took place virtually on 8 May 2021!

The Virtual Gala Night brought the ISP Community together and celebrated two causes close to our school’s heart – raising funds for ISP Scholarships and awareness about Happy Caravan school in Thermopyles Refugee Centre in Greece!

One Night, Two Missions:

ISP Scholarships &

Happy Caravan School for Refugees

ISP student and parent change-makers teamed up to fundraise for transformational educational opportunities!

While the community couldn’t get together in person, the evening was no less entertaining than our traditional annual fundraising gala and included:

  • Performance from the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, with a dedicated introduction from Chief Conductor, Steven Mercurio
  • Exclusive Gala-only musical performances by ISP students and staff led by Mr. Chapman and Mr. Ethridge, and alumna Mrs. Hana Chelberg, coloratura soprano singer
  • Upper School student change-maker presentations and appearance from Happy Caravan founder Alaa Eddin Janid
  • Alumni scholars shared the impact of their ISP education
  • Silent and live auction with fantastic gifts
  • Drinks – Two bottles of speciality Gedevani Georgian Wine, Welcome Cocktails from Manifesto Market, Pilsen Urquell Beer (the very best beer in the Czech Republic) and soft drinks by Coca-Cola
  • A Special Gala Menu for home delivery from Zátiší
  • Bonus prize for the best dressed – you may want to model your look on someone famous!
  • Surprise appearance from a special guest.

Dress Code: Evening Wear with Slippers!

ISP Scholarships

The Scholarship Program at ISP provides transformational opportunities for deserving local students for whom an ISP education would otherwise be out of financial reach.

ISP greatly benefits from our fantastic scholarship students, who not only add to the socioeconomic diversity in our school but also bring vitality and excellence to our community. All our scholars continue their education and go to university on another scholarship and go on to lead healthy, fulfilling, and purposeful lives, contributing responsibly to our changing world!

Happy Caravan

ISP has an official partnership with a growing educational organization, Happy Caravan, which every day makes a tangible difference in the lives of refugee children and we are eager to support this through our fundraising efforts!

Happy Caravan brings a safe, secure, and transformative school program to refugee children in Greece, at the Thermopylae Refugee Center in Lamia and the Malakasa Refugee Camp.

The Partnership recently won an International School Award in the ‘International Impact’ category, which showcases the ISP’s affection and commitment to the partnership. Check out a student-produced video about the partnership here. Read one ISP student's Happy Caravan story here and more information about the partnership here.
