ISP’s premier social event of the year will go ahead this year – virtually on 8 May 2021!
The Virtual Gala Night will bring the ISP Community together and celebrate two causes close to our school’s heart – raising funds for ISP Scholarships and awareness about Happy Caravan school in Thermopyles Refugee Centre in Greece!
ISP Scholarships &
Happy Caravan School for Refugees
While we can’t get together in person, the evening promises to be no less entertaining than our traditional annual fundraising gala including:
Dress Code: Evening Wear with Slippers!
The Virtual Gala Night Committee: Tatiana Eichler (Chair), Vazil Hudak (Co-Chair), Kelly Esparza, Anna Lukyanova, Charlotte Petersen, Marta Spurna, Blanka Smith, Andrea Wiant and Jana Žantovská
The Scholarship Program at ISP provides transformational opportunities for deserving local students for whom an ISP education would otherwise be out of financial reach.
ISP greatly benefits from our fantastic scholarship students, who not only add to the socioeconomic diversity in our school but also bring vitality and excellence to our community. All our scholars continue their education and go to university on another scholarship and go on to lead healthy, fulfilling, and purposeful lives, contributing responsibly to our changing world!

ISP has an official partnership with a growing educational organization, Happy Caravan, which every day makes a tangible difference in the lives of refugee children and we are eager to support this through our fundraising efforts!
Happy Caravan brings a safe, secure, and transformative school program to refugee children in Greece, at the Thermopylae Refugee Center in Lamia and the Malakasa Refugee Camp.
The Partnership recently won an International School Award in the ‘International Impact’ category, which showcases the ISP’s affection and commitment to the partnership. Check out a student-produced video about the partnership here. Read one ISP student's Happy Caravan story here and more information about the partnership here.

ISP Scholarship recipient Tereza Kaplanová (Class of ‘10) said,
“ISP really transformed me into an international citizen keen to tackle global challenges. Ultimately, ISP led me pursue a degree in the UK at Cambridge, start working in international development and dedicate my career to providing assistance to countries affected by poverty, wars and crises”.
Virtual Gala Night attendees should be aware that the total price of entry is split into “ticket” and “contribution” categories for accounting reasons.
This breakdown means that of the price of attending the event, 3000 CZK, 2,200 CZK is classed as a “contribution” to Scholarships at ISP, whereas 800 CZK is classified as “ticket” or the cost of staging the event.
