Chip is a progressive and experienced leader with a track record of excellence at the school, district, state, national, and international levels. He has led public and private systems, both large and small, with a future orientation and a commitment to improvement, effective change, and results.
Chip started his career as a science teacher and was an early adopter of learning technologies. After serving as District Chief Technology Officer, Area Superintendent, and Deputy Superintendent, was appointed as Superintendent of Lake Washington School District in Washington State, USA, overseeing the education of 30,000 students. Later, Chip was selected as Superintendent of Singapore American School (4000 students), where he led the most ambitious and challenging reform work of his career, transforming SAS into one of the most progressive and innovative schools in the world. Immediately prior to his appointment as Director of ISP, Chip worked as an executive coach, business consultant, and personal finance coach for young people.
Sheldon Bradshaw

Sheldon is from Barrie, Ontario, Canada. After obtaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he worked in industry for several years. He then went back to university to obtain another degree in education. He has worked as an Elementary Homeroom teacher, a Math/Science teacher, a Technology Coach and a Technology Director. He worked in Japan, Kuwait, China and Indonesia before coming to Prague.
In his free time, Sheldon enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura (also an ISP teacher) and their two children. His other interests include photography, making/tinkering, and travel.

Before coming to ISP, Dr. David “Cal” Callaway, Ed.D, was the Deputy Head of School at the International Community School of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and the Deputy Head of School at the International School of Latvia.
Cal has worked in international education for over 22 years as an elementary, middle and high school teacher, before moving into administration in international schools in three continents, in the United Kingdom, China, Latvia and Ethiopia.
Cal is a member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals, and in recognition of his work as an elementary principal, he was awarded National Distinguished Principal 2021. Additionally, the elementary school at ICS Addis Ababa was awarded Exemplary PLC status in 2021 through his team’s work in driving learning through the Professional Learning Community process. Cal strongly believes in an inclusive approach to education and has worked to adapt learning support services to work closely with students in a learning community model.
He has presented workshops on co-teaching learning communities, educational environments and personalized learning for the Central and Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA) and as part of the PLC institute workshops in Africa.

Laura Jo (LJ), originally from New Mexico, USA, her husband Zach, and her two teenage daughters, are career-long international educators/adventurers. LJ has worked in South Korea, Singapore and Ethiopia as a teacher, Early Years Coordinator and now Associate Principal. LJ and her family spend their summers near Bellingham Washington at their lakeshore home where nature, horses, kayaking and fireside chats fill their spirits each year before heading abroad for more adventure.
In her 15-Year professional career, LJ has taken part in numerous professional dialogues and contributed to the development of co-constructed curricula, professional learning communities, innovative learning environments, and strengths-based leadership work. These initiatives value each learner as a capable, competent world citizen who actively participates in the learning process through a personalized approach.

Michelle is from Brockville, Ontario, Canada. After obtaining a degree in Physical and Health Education and Biology, she obtained another degree in education. She has worked in Middle and High School as a Physical Education, Science, Health, and Outdoor Leadership teacher, an Assistant Principal, and now Principal. Michelle worked in Guatemala City, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Lima, and Munich before coming to Prague.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, a grade 5 teacher at ISP, and their two children, Zack, who attends the University of Toronto, and Isabel, who is a high school student at ISP. Michelle’s other interests include fitness in the outdoors, year-round freshwater swimming, and gatherings with friends.

A Romanian national with a global outlook, Monica’s personal passion and professional ambition is to advance education through philanthropy. Before discovering the world of educational advancement, Monica worked in marketing with a number of world-class FMCG companies.
She loves all kinds of outdoor activities, from simple runs to rock climbing, and enjoys meaningful conversations on a wide range of topics.

Eric holds a PhD in Educational Leadership, and prior to his arrival in Prague, led the International Academy of Macomb in Michigan, USA since 2012. Previously Eric worked as a principal, IB Coordinator, and teacher in the USA, Venezuela, Egypt, and Turkey and is an IBDP workshop leader and examiner.
Eric helped to write the curriculum for the World Studies Extended Essay pilot project, a unique interdisciplinary opportunity for students to develop their capacity for global consciousness and action.
As Faculty of the Future of Learning Institute at Project Zero, Harvard Graduate School of Education from 2012-2016, Eric was a co-developer of design thinking professional development: “an experience that informed my understanding of best practice instruction and interdisciplinary learning, specifically that of ‘design thinking.”
Matt Woodward

This is Matthew Woodward’s first year leading the elementary school at the International School of Prague. He brings a belief that all children and adults are capable, and the skills of listening and connecting help foster and empower growth.
In his previous role at the International School of Kenya, Matt was the elementary principal where he collaborated with teachers and students to create kind, caring environments that nurtured agency, skill development and reflection. Part of his time at ISK also included unlocking the schedule to bring in more time for students to engage in personal inquiry and action.
Prior to Matthew’s time in Kenya, he worked as a curriculum leader in Mexico and Chile and was responsible for implementing project based learning, reading and writing workshops and concept-based mathematics.
At the heart of his beliefs is building relationships and a culture of learning that inspires, challenges, and capitalizes on what could be.
