Off-Campus experiences

Dear ISP Community,

At ISP, we pride ourselves in providing a comprehensive and holistic education for students, going well beyond core academics to include competencies like empathy, grit, time management, and relationship development. The richness of a high-quality education, in addition to academic preparation, is often found in the experiences that students have in and out of the classroom.

At ISP, we invest heavily in these experiences. This includes our off-campus experiences like Week Without Walls, which for our Upper School students is happening this next week, and for Middle School students happened earlier in the year.

Rich experiences also come through school projects, such as the Grade 5, 8 and 10 required PYP, MYP and DP projects, where students might be asked to engage in service, or help solve complicated practical problems, either in the school or in the community.

In other cases, students might get involved in opportunities like the Duke of Edinburgh programme or in an athletic or activity before or after school. In all cases, these experiences help build skills and important competencies in our students.

At ISP, it is these experiences, coupled with great academics, that we believe are going to make our students as competitive and well-rounded as any students in the world. As we look ahead, we will continue to double down on experiences for students as well as great core academics to ensure that our students are prepared for the future.

Warm Regards,
Dr. Chip Kimball
ISP Director
