ISP was born out of a small class of embassy children in 1948, and at ISP we are very proud of our enduring historic ties with Prague’s diplomatic communities. On the occasion of our school’s 70th anniversary, we delighted to invite our community to an event which celebrates these links – ‘Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?’
The event is an outstanding way to meet new people, experience new cultures, and all while supporting the school’s Annual Fund. This year, it takes place on Saturday, October 6th.
‘Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?’ event starts with a Welcome Reception at ISP, followed by Dinner at one of several participating Embassies.
Guests pay minimum of 2500 czk per person (of this amount 1500 czk goes towards hosting the event and at least 1000 czk goes directly to support the school’s Annual Fund). The evening includes everything except your transportation to the school and from the Embassy.

FAQs About Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?
What is it?
This exciting idea was originally brought to us by a new family at ISP. -and we loved the idea!
As explained to us, the way this event takes place in other parts of the world is that attendees gather for a reception, then head off to dinner at the home of some generous volunteers who have agreed to host the dinner – the catch being that attendees don’t know where they are going or with whom, until they arrive at the location…what a fabulous way for ISP families to meet new people!
However, we aren’t very good at just replicating what happens elsewhere, so we asked ourselves how we could make the most of this excellent friend-making idea in our international setting; after all, ISP has families from over 60 different nationalities.
It didn’t take long for us to realize that this would be a wonderful way to introduce people to new cultures, if some of the Embassies in Prague would be willing to host the dinner…
Which Embassies are Participating?
We are very happy to say that after just a few conversations, seven embassies have already very generously stepped forward to say that they will get involved, with more still looking into their ability to welcome us.
Embassies that have already stepped forward:
- South Korea
- United Arab Emirates
How do I buy Tickets?
Tickets are on sale via paypal, bank transfer or in cash from the Advancement Office.
How will the Evening Go?
Guests arrive between 18:00-18:30 at the school for a reception in the Landau Theater.
During the reception, you’ll find out to which Embassy you’ll be going, and with whom.
At 19:30, you will be driven to an Embassy, where you will be hosted for the evening.
At the end of the evening, you will make your own arrangements (taxi, uber, etc) to take you home).
We are working with the Embassies right now to cover all the details, and we will add them as we have them. One thing we are sure of is that this is going to be a lot of fun!
