Real-Time Access to Athletic Action: Bringing the Games to Your Screen

ISP has entered a new era of sports coverage with the addition of state-of-the-art video equipment. This new technology allows us to live-stream our athletic events to ISP’s Vimeo channel, giving fans and spectators real-time access to Falcons games no matter where they are. 

Whether you're following a football match from a distant location or cheering on the volleyball team from the comfort of your home, this new hardware ensures that the energy and excitement of ISP sports can be experienced by spectators near and far.

Thanks to the ISP Fund, we have invested in two cameras from Spiideo, to support a broad range of sports and activities. The first is the Portable SmartCam, an advanced mobile AI camera designed for capturing and live-streaming events. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, it is ideal for outdoor use and features excellent connectivity, enabling it to record events wherever they take place. The second is a near-field unit that will be permanently installed in the Big Gym, providing a full panoramic view from the sideline to ensure every movement and game moment is captured in detail.

Whether it’s football and softball games or basketball and volleyball matches, the new equipment adapts to a variety of events with ease. Its high-quality video and sound bring the action to life, making viewers feel as though they’re part of the crowd.

The SCIS Girls Varsity Football Championships in November 2024 served as a testing ground for the new mobile camera. Initially intended as a trial, the equipment performed so well that the games were live-streamed and the recordings later uploaded, all despite cold and damp weather conditions. The result was a seamless, high-quality broadcast that exceeded expectations.

In addition to live broadcasts, streamed events will be available for on-demand viewing. Fans can revisit games at their convenience or share the excitement with others who couldn’t tune in live.
