Mobile Vocal Recording Booths: Studio-Quality Sound at ISP
At ISP, innovation meets creativity in a space designed to nurture artistic expression: the mobile vocal recording booths. These booths, equipped with studio-grade microphones and vocal shields, offer students the opportunity to produce professional-quality audio right on campus.
The project, supported by ISP Fund, underscores our commitment to empowering students with cutting-edge tools for artistic and academic pursuits. The new equipment has particularly resonated with students pursuing IB Music. One aspiring rapper, Maks, shared how the booths have transformed their creative process. "Before this, we used headphone mics, which meant adding multiple effects to make the music sound good. Now, we can produce high-quality tracks that are ready for streaming on platforms like Spotify and YouTube Music."

"We bought these mics and vocal shields as part of our investment in the arts. Normally, sound in a room bounces off the walls, making recordings less precise. These setups isolate the voice, allowing students to add effects and create polished tracks that sound like they were recorded in a professional studio."
Jeremy Chapman, Music Teacher
The recording booths have quickly become a hub for collaboration, attracting students interested in rap, hip-hop, and electronic music. They are not only practical, but also symbolic of the school’s mission to inspire creativity. Whether students are creating albums or experimenting with sound for the first time, the facilities provide an accessible space to explore and grow.

With such resources, ISP continues to foster a culture where students can innovate and share their talents with a broader audience. This initiative is more than an investment in equipment; it’s an investment in the potential of young artists to make their mark on the world.
"This new equipment is here for the whole community. We all work together on projects, recording during lunch, after school, or during Flex time. It’s fun, and it’s great to see everyone contributing their unique ideas."
Maks, Grade 11 Student
