Electronic Music Production: Unleashing Creative Potential
The International School of Prague has recently made a significant leap in its electronic music programme thanks to the ISP Fund. With the addition of five PUSH2 devices to the school's resources, students are discovering a dynamic and interactive approach to music creation.
Previously, electronic music courses relied solely on GarageBand, a fantastic entry-level tool, but one limited to a screen-bound, solitary experience. The PUSH2 devices have transformed this experience. These devices allow students to break down music into clips and scenes, manipulate tracks live, and perform in a way that is both tactile and responsive to an audience.

“This investment has opened up a whole new dimension. What was once a solitary, laptop-based activity has now become an interactive, community-driven experience. Students are connecting with each other, experimenting, and creating music in ways that were previously impossible.”
Jeremy Chapman, Music Teacher
This development has sparked the growth of a vibrant community of music enthusiasts. Currently, 18 students are enrolled in electronic music classes, and many more gather during lunchtimes and after school to collaborate, experiment, and share their passion. This sense of camaraderie has enriched the creative spirit within the school.
Looking ahead, there are hopes to acquire five more PUSH2 devices to accommodate the growing interest, as well as additional equipment like synthesisers to further enhance the tactile, hands-on music production experience. The school also plans to invest in sound insulation to optimise the space and create a more professional environment for students to explore their creativity.
