Career-related Programme @ ISP
Preparing students to follow their chosen pathways in life
The IB Career-related Programme (CP) provides the rigour, structure, and philosophy of an IB Diploma Programme but in the context of a particular career field. Students completing the CP have the option to pursue post-secondary education, technical education or employment.
Diploma Courses
All ISP students must take English every year. Students in the CP may take any of the following English Courses:
- English A: Literature, Standard or Higher Level
- English A: Language & Literature, Standard or Higher Level
- English B: Language Acquisition
The other subjects are the same as those in the IB Diploma Programme. Students may choose from 1-3 additional IB Diploma Programme courses among our offerings.
The IB approaches to learning skills (ATL), used in all of the IB programmes, are grounded in the belief that learning how to learn is fundamental to a person’s life, in and out of a school context. In broad terms, IB programmes support learners in developing the key transdisciplinary skills of: Thinking, Communication, Research, Self-management and Social Interactions.
Core Components of CP
The CP core components are offered during one block in a student’s schedule and will include time for all of the following core areas.
