Suzanne Higgins

Suzanne Higgins is originally from Cheshire, in the UK. She studied music in Manchester and has enjoyed playing with many world acclaimed artists, including John Taylor, Will Lee and The Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra. Her own projects have been featured at jazz festivals in the UK and she has toured extensively, recording albums, playing on Radio and TV, and performing at venues such as The London Palladium.  Suzanne has taught woodwind to children and adults of all ages, in workshop settings, jazz summer schools, and one-to-one tuition. After qualifying as a Primary teacher she taught in the UK, then took a position teaching Music and being responsible for instrumental tuition at Berlin British School in 2009 and was a founding organiser of the Berlin International Music Project. Suzanne now teaches Elementary Music at International School of Prague, and is very active in the Prague jazz scene, has been featured on the Radio and TV, and recorded CDs with several musicians as well as being part of the ‘Jazz Dock Orchestra’ which is the leading Big Band in the country, performing with artists such as Kurt Elling and Richard Bona.
