In G1 we have been working on writing Realistic Fiction stories and following the usual steps of the writing process. Normally, in the classroom when kids have finally published their books (and we finish a unit) we have a little publishing party to share their stories with each other and celebrate their success.
George’s Mom, Rebecca, decided to throw him his own little publishing party after a job well done, which included decorations, balloons, snacks, etc. George also read his book to a group of his dad’s colleagues during a conference call. I’ve also attached some of the classroom anchor charts and checklists the kids use to revise and edit their writing.
