Partners in Education 
Building strong partnerships with our families is essential for our children's development, their sense of belonging, and the school environment we aim to create at ISP. 

There are many ways that parents can get involved at ISP:

  • volunteering in the classroom,
  • participating on a committee, such as the Board of Trustees or our annual Gala,
  • supporting one of the many events that occur at ISP throughout the year.  

Parents are welcome to socialise on campus in the cafeteria after students go into classrooms, and there are several opportunities each month for parents to attend morning coffees to learn more about our programmes, hear from interesting speakers, or discuss topics of interest related to parenting, living in Prague, and more. 

Additionally, all parents and guardians are automatically enrolled as members of the SCA, our School Community Association.

The SCA is a dynamic, diverse, all-volunteer organisation dedicated to enriching ISP life through engaging community programmes, activities, and events such as:

The New Families Orientation

A wonderful event the day before school begins, organised by the SCA parent Newcomers Committee. New families are greeted by parent volunteers at ISP and visit classrooms, attend an information fair, and get acquainted with our community.

Welcome Back Party & Information Fair

Typically held during the first few weeks of the school year, this is a fun family event hosted at ISP on a weekend.  At this event, we share useful information about Prague and ISP, along with food, activities for children, musical performances, and the opportunity to connect with the ISP parents and staff. 

Arts and Crafts Fair

The Arts and Crafts fair is our holiday community event, held before the winter break. Showcasing an impressive selection of local and homemade crafts, along with service projects from our students, this event is a wonderful celebration of our community and winter season.

Party in the Park

Our annual all-school event where ISP families come together for a day of musical performances, community-building and celebrating the work of our passionate student changemakers. 

International Food Festival

One of the most anticipated events of the year! This popular year-end gathering features food from around the world, celebrating the diversity and cultures of our community.

Let’s Go Trips

These excursions occur during the school day and are organised several times a year. The destinations and activities range from exploring Prague's landmarks, engaging in art workshops, or visiting breweries to practical experiences like touring the foreign department at the local hospital.

Social Nights

From bingo to wine tasting to family film nights, the SCA is active in organising a variety of fun social activities for parents and children to connect and build community.

The SCA represents and supports all school sections (Elementary, Middle, and Upper) and is committed to promoting an active partnership among parents, students, faculty, and the administration at ISP. For additional information, contact secretary@sca.isp.cz
