Why ISP
Founded in 1948, ISP proudly celebrates over 75 years of educational excellence. Looking ahead, we strive to become one of the most impactful and innovative progressive IB Schools in Europe.
Throughout its extensive history, ISP has thoughtfully built a learning culture based on an inspiring mission, curious students, expert faculty and staff, an engaged community, and the drive to provide an outstanding, future-focused education.
Our Community
Belonging is at the heart of ISP
The ISP community celebrates diversity and inclusivity, with nearly 1,000 students from over 60 different nationalities. Our dedicated faculty and staff team reflects this international perspective, representing 20 countries. Additionally, ISP families are actively engaged in our School Community Association (SCA). Through the SCA, we offer a variety of engaging activities, events, and experiences that foster a strong sense of unity, community, and belonging for all.
Our Campus
Purpose-built and innovatively designed
All ISP school sections, from Early Childhood Foundations, Elementary, Middle through Upper School, are located in our unique purpose-built campus. This is one of many reasons that we hear incoming ISP parents referring to when choosing ISP over other schools.
The ISP Campus features purpose-built facilities, including state-of-the-art learning spaces, a recently renovated Learning Innovation Hub (aka Library), a technology and design-focused maker space (Idea Lab), a fully equipped sports gymnasium with a climbing wall, basketball courts, outdoor fields, playgrounds and more.
We are currently in the planning phase of an exciting Campus Roadmap Project that will bring innovative new spaces to our campus over the next few years.
These include a cutting-edge Design & Innovation Centre, a new Elementary School Cafeteria, Sensory and Multipurpose space, and a renovation of our existing Central Kitchen and Cafeteria.
Our Location
City and Forest: The best of both worldsSet against the backdrop of the picturesque Divoká Šárka nature reserve, just a 20-minute drive from the lively centre of Prague, our campus is easily accessible by public transportation and provides quick access to the forest, a favourite outdoor exploration spot for our children. Prague is often recognised as one of the world's best cities to live in, boasting high safety ratings on the Global Peace Index. This provides our students with ample opportunities to engage and explore beyond our campus.

Revolutions are often a turning point in history when the current conditions cause people to rise up and seek a fundamental change.
In Upper School Robotics, students develop knowledge and skills in mechanical design and construction as they work in teams to build simple and complex robotic devices.
With ISP’s transition to the PYP (Primary Years Programme) comes several exciting new units of inquiry, including the Grade 5 “Art Attacks,” a unit dedicated to art and activism.
