Our Vision
At the International School of Prague (ISP), we stand at a pivotal moment in our history. Over the past 75 years, we have evolved from a small American Embassy school into a respected International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, serving nearly 1,000 students from more than 60 countries.
Now, ISP is ready to take its next leap forward— realising our ambition to become one of Europe’s leading schools, known for transformative learning, innovative practice, and extraordinary people.
As the world rapidly changes, we are committed to ensuring our students not only keep pace, but thrive. This requires a bold vision and a transformative approach to learning—one that is agile, immersive, and relevant.
Mapping ISP’s Future—our Campus Facilities Roadmap—is the catalyst for this transformation. It enables us to create spaces and programmes that reflect our boldest aspirations, elevate our reputation for excellence, and empower students to become the Curious, Competent, and Compassionate Changemakers our mission envisions.
Why Now?
At ISP, we believe where students learn is just as important as what they learn. Our campus is more than a backdrop—it acts as a “third teacher,” bringing our educational philosophy to life.
Since 1997, our purpose-built campus has served us well. But to deliver the progressive IB education we champion, our learning spaces must evolve.
To meet the needs of tomorrow’s learners, we must create environments that foster innovation, support wellbeing, and build the future-ready skills and mindsets that prepare students to lead with purpose.
A Community-Driven Vision
To bring our vision to life, ISP partnered with Fielding International, leading experts in educational design, to guide a comprehensive campus discovery process. In close collaboration with our Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, parents, and students, we explored the strengths and limitations of our current campus—and envisioned what the future could hold.
Our transformation is anchored in four strategic design principles:
- Unlock the Schedule: Create flexible, interdisciplinary spaces that support personalised, student-centred learning.
- Align Space with Our Learner Profile: Ensure every learning environment fosters inquiry, collaboration, and growth.
- Connect to Community & Nature: Enhance wellbeing and a sense of place by blending indoor and outdoor learning and reflecting ISP’s cultural identity.
- Celebrate Who We Are: Build pride through a campus that communicates our mission and welcomes every learner.
