The International School of Prague is a not-for-profit educational institution, classified as an s.r.o. by the Czech tax authorities. As an s.r.o., the School has one shareholder - The International School of Prague Foundation, which is a US 501(c)3 (an American not-for-profit). ISP pays no dividends, and any surpluses are re-invested in the school every year. The annual financial statements of ISP are audited by KPMG Česká republika, and are publically available.
ISP is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees, who hire the Director.
Founded in 1948, ISP has a long history of educational excellence in the Czech Republic. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma program to students in grades 11 and 12. ISP is also authorized by the Czech Ministry of Education to educate foreign nationals and Czech citizens.
